These terms apply when you use the MELVO website, Recipes and Mapper. Contact support@getmelvo.com with general questions or product help.
Provider and products
MELVO is the trade name of Ivo Ladenius’s registered sole proprietorship, Oleanderlaan 219, 1171 ZZ Badhoevedorp, the Netherlands. KVK 95746846 · VAT ID NL005172475B38 · 0614471340. MELVO provides the corporate website, Recipes and Mapper as separate products at their published domains.
Using MELVO
Use the products lawfully and only with content you are entitled to save, upload or share. Keep account and access links confidential. Do not upload passwords, unlawful material, malware or personal information that you do not have permission to process.
Recipe extraction, AI tagging, translations and nutrition values can be incomplete or wrong. Check recipes, allergens and nutrition information yourself; the products do not provide medical, dietary or safety advice. Map positions, routes and travel estimates also require your own verification.
Do not use MELVO to harass, impersonate, infringe rights, distribute unlawful material or bypass security and access controls. MELVO may restrict, remove or preserve content when necessary for safety, legal compliance or security.
Accounts, sharing and content
You are responsible for the email address and display name on your account and for activity performed through your session. Board owners control access and may revoke shared links. A public or shared link can be copied by anyone who receives it, so share only content you want others to see.
You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant MELVO the limited permission needed to host, process, display, translate and back up that content to operate the requested feature. Remove content you no longer want stored, subject to the deletion and recovery windows described in the privacy notice.
Do not upload or share content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, deceptive, abusive, malicious or unrelated to the product. Report suspected illegal content, copyright concerns or security issues to the relevant contact address.
Intellectual property
MELVO’s name, branding, software, design, documentation and original content remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.
You may use the products and public MELVO materials only as intended and may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, scrape or create a competing service from them, except where mandatory law permits it.
Registration, suspension and termination
When an account is required, provide an email address you control and keep your sign-in links confidential. You may stop using a product and request deletion through the relevant support or privacy address.
MELVO may suspend or end access where necessary to prevent abuse, protect users, comply with law or address a security risk. We will restore access when the reason no longer applies where reasonably possible. Provisions about content, intellectual property, liability and disputes survive termination where their purpose requires it.
Updates, maintenance and conformity
MELVO may release updates, change features or perform maintenance. We will communicate material changes where required. You should use supported versions and keep your browser or device reasonably up to date.
Where consumer law applies to a digital service, mandatory conformity, repair, replacement, price-reduction, termination and refund rights remain unaffected by these terms.
Liability and force majeure
To the extent permitted by law, MELVO is not liable for indirect loss, lost opportunity or loss caused by information you provide, unsupported use, third-party services or events outside reasonable control. Nothing limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including intentional or grossly negligent conduct or mandatory consumer rights.
MELVO does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that extracted recipe, nutrition, map or route information is complete or error-free. Verify important decisions yourself.
Children and complaints
MELVO is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. Where local law requires parental consent for a younger user, MELVO will require that consent before processing.
Questions and complaints can be sent to support@getmelvo.com. Privacy complaints can be sent to support@getmelvo.com. The final terms will include the applicable statutory complaint, mediation and supervisory-authority routes.
Plans, payments, renewal and cancellation
Recipes has a free plan for up to 25 recipes and a Premium plan with unlimited recipes. Before checkout, the current annual price, taxes where applicable, payment method and whether the purchase is one year or yearly automatic renewal are shown clearly.
A one-year purchase ends after the paid period. A yearly subscription renews until cancelled. Web subscriptions are paid through Stripe and can be cancelled in the customer portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Store subscriptions are managed under Apple or Google billing rules. A full refund may be requested within 14 days through support@getmelvo.com, subject to mandatory consumer rights and the refund policy.
Applicable law, consumers and contact
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections under the law of your habitual residence. Nothing in these terms limits your right to bring proceedings before a court available under mandatory consumer law.
